Semana
Santa 2008
Sunday 16 March ~
Sunday 23 March
Dear
Friends,
Here
comes Semana Santa AGAIN
everybody! We hope that you enjoy (aka
survive) your week. We would like to run our Piedras y
Olas regulations by you all again so that we aren’t
backpedaling through the toughest times of the week -
Wednesday through Sunday.
Our
Favorite Water Aerobics Guests
Monday, the 17th of March, will be our normal water aerobics class but we’ll need to suspend the Wednesday
and Friday classes JUST for this week. Thanks for
the understanding on this.
Restaurants,
Pools and Towel Use
We welcome you here at our classic La Cascada Bar
& Restaurant for breakfasts, lunches and dinners and
Bistro La Canoa for breakfasts and lunches.
We
will be charging all non-hotel guests for use of the
pools a day rate of US $20 for adults and US $10 for
children 12 and under and this year we will be limiting
pool passes to the first 20 guests of the day. We
are sorry but we simply don’t have the room. The hotel
towels are your pass to be using the pool so please
don’t bring your own towels or lose track of our
towels. If you don’t return the towel we will
have to charge in any event. There is now a US $20
fee for lost towels (towels not returned to one of
our two cashiers).
We
are asking for a piece of identification to secure the
towel even though you know we know you. It
is tough on the staff to ask them to distinguish among
our favorite townees, guests and friends of guests. We
know you’ll understand.
As
usual, we aren’t allowing any food or drinks from
outside the hotel to be consumed in our restaurant or
pool areas. No exceptions.
Pets
Pups will also have to spend Semana Santa off the property.
We are having a bit of a problem with our own pet
population up here and have had a few BIG complaints.
For this week, at least, we’ll have to suspend our
canine hospitality.
Internet Service
We will be strict about charging for Internet Use
as well during this week as we have a lot of folks using
internet without paying these days.
Restaurant
Hours & Service
We do really appreciate each and every one of you
that come to our restaurants. To make sure that you get
the service you deserve in a timely manner, we are
highly recommending reservations for parties of 6 or
more during Semana Santa. As well, if a party is
more than twenty minutes late for their reservation, we
won’t be able to hold it. Please see this as our
effort to insure everyone’s comfort.
