Dear Friends and Patrons of Pelican Eyes...Piedras y Olas, As we enter the fourth year of service here in San Juan del Sur, we would like to thank you for your support and patronage. We have grown from an initial modest sized hotel with only a few rooms and La Cascada restaurant and pool, to now offering availability of 8 rooms, 24 villas, 3 pools, a second restaurant (Bistro La Canoa) plus our ongoing projects for the upcoming years. As we have grown we have seen the need to institute certain policies in order to enable us to maintain the high level of quality and professionalism we would like all to expect, respect and receive here in our hotel. Our staff is here to serve our hotel guests as well as you, our visitors. We ask that you assist them in reporting how many are in your party and that you are visitors. As we increase in size, your identity and number is not always apparent to our staff, and certainly not to new staff. We have confidence in our staff, respect them a great deal and ask that you extend the same. If you have specific concerns about any of our staff, or our new visitor policies, we ask that you contact our Resident Manager, Jiff Cornwell. The following list of policies and procedures has been created to inform, remind, and update you. Pool use
Our pool hours are as listed: La Cascada (lower pool) 7am-6pm, La Canoa (middle and lap pool) 7am-9pm. We will be instituting Lap pool hours (for those dedicated lappers!) and we ask that these hours be respected for exclusive use of guests and visitors using the pool to swim laps. As well, Scuba Shack is working with us, and at times will be using the upper lap pool and middle pool for their courses. Although we are very pleased to welcome you here, we ask that you remember that the pools are primarily for our hotel guests, and that everyone respect proper pool etiquette. Again, please be sure to return your towels to Pelican Eyes...Piedras y Olas staff to ensure sufficient availability in the future. Computer use Computers need to be signed out at the front desk and are to be used only at the bar (please assist us in maintaining our policy of computer use strictly to the far right end of the bar) and lobby area. Tables are reserved for our dining guests. Ask at reception if internet service is available, as service is periodically down. Security Thank-you, Pelican
