The “Museo de la Naturaleza” (Nature Museum) project breaks ground in January 2007 within the William Rousseau Nature Reserve, adjacent to Hotel Piedras y Olas here in San Juan del Sur. The Museum will feature a reference library, animal sanctuary and conference center for workshops, seminars and retreats. From interpretive walkways to a wildlife refuge, beginning next year, the William Rousseau Nature Reserve will serve as a tremendous – and much needed – educational, cultural and natural resource for the local community and visitors to our region.

Be Part of this Historic Project!
The Fundación is actively seeking financial donations to help us complete this exciting and important project. Many of our existing donors have already offered their support and now we need YOU!

A $25,000 challenge grant has been offered by one of our donors. If we achieve our goal of raising $25,000 by December 1, 2006 the donor will match this amount, increasing our total raised to $50,000! Help us meet – and surpass – this goal by making a donation today!

Upcoming Fundraising Events
We will also be kicking off a variety of fundraising events and activities in the coming months, in order to involve our local and international community – and to provide a bit of fun!

Beginning in August, Hotel Piedras y Olas will be hosting “Global Culinary Adventures” dinners, featuring gourmet cuisine and entertainment from exotic locales such as Japan, France, Spain, Italy, Southeast Asia, and even some tasty delicacies from our own Nicaragua! Watch your email for additional details.
